To analyze and rate a steel truss highway bridge in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Design Manual Part 4 using US customary units. TRLRFD is not approved for final design, but can be used for preliminary member sizing. The program can perform an analysis of a simple span or a continuous span or a continuous span with in-span hinges (cantilever truss). A truss can have a maximum of 6 spans. Trusses with various panel types can be analyzed, including counters (diagonals that can carry only tension force) although counters can only be present in a simple span truss. Gusset plates can optionally be analyzed and rated.


Span lengths, panel geometry, hinge locations, truss member cross section data, gusset plate geometry, material properties, dead loads, standard live loads, special live loads, section losses, fatigue life, and output control options.


Echo print of input, reactions, member axial loads, member axial resistances, stresses, deflections, influence lines ordinates, specifications check results, section properties, estimated fatigue life and live load ratings.
