ABLRFD Version 1.3 Update- Please read before installing.     4/9/2001

Introduction
------------
The accompanying software (UPDATE.exe, ABLRFDv1-3.exe, ABLRFDv1-3.pd,
ABLRFDv1-3.rpt, etc.) will upgrade your PC's installation of ABLRFD 
Version 1.2 to ABLRFD Version 1.3.

Downloading the Upgrade

Download the upgrade from the Internet by keying in the following 
address into your web browser:   http://penndot.engrprograms.com
Click on the Downloads link and then click on the link to download
the file ABV1-3.exe.

You will be prompted to enter the License Number, Contact Person, 
Organization, Address, Phone, Fax and E-Mail.  This information is
used by PennDOT for the purpose of sending out notifications when
new versions of the engineering programs become available.

Next, you will be prompted to enter the login name and password 
that were supplied to all licensed users. You will need to select 
a directory on your computer where the file should be saved.

Installing the Upgrade

After downloading ABV1-3.exe from the Internet, double click on 
ABV1-3.exe to extract UPDATE.exe, ABLRFDv1-3.exe, ABLRFDv1-3.pd,
ABLRFDv1-3.rpt, etc. and select the folder where the ABLRFD V1.2
installation resides.  All the new files must be located in the same 
directory as the current ABLFRD.exe (V1.2).

Then run UPDATE.exe by double-clicking on it.  UPDATE will create
a subdirectory called ABLRFD12 and move all the V1.2 program files
into it.  UPDATE will then activate ABLRFDv1-3.exe as ABLRFD.exe and
rename the new files to their proper name.  A message will appear 
when UPDATE has successfully completed the upgrade. Double-clicking
on ABLRFD.exe will now run V1.3.





Note: ABLRFDv1-3.exe will not run as is.  It must first activated
by running UPDATE.exe.
