CAMBER ‑ FIELD CHECK OF CAMBER
Purpose:
To aid the field engineer in determining the acceptability of beams with respect to their measured elevations relative to the finish grade of the bridge deck. The program is to be used for simple span bridges of any number of spans. The bridge may be entirely on a tangent or curve, including spiraled curve, or on a combination of tangent and curved sections. Either all or part of the bridge may be on a vertical curve. Either SI or US customary units can be used.
Input:
Vertical and horizontal curve data, cross section data and for each span, the bent data, camber from design calculations, girder offsets, height of instrument and rod readings.
Output:
For each quarter, eighth, tenth or twentieth point, the design deck elevation, resulting slab thickness using design deck elevations and the necessary adjustment to the design deck elevations.
